Nolan is a guitarist, singer, and songwriter. His passion for music began at the age of 6, when he began taking piano lessons. As years went on, his focus shifted to guitar when his mother began playing. His passion for guitar grew by listening to players such as Randy Rhoads, Alex Lifeson, Rory Gallagher, and Joe Perry. The catalyst for his growth as a player was when he first began working at North Country Guitar tuning up instruments and learning more about the industry. Though mostly self-taught, Nolan went on to study classical guitar under Micah Scoville, who was previously an instructor at North Country Guitar. Currently, Nolan is the lead guitarist of the regional award winning band, Lucid Street.
Vern has always had a deep love for blues music. At the age of 15 he started taking private lessons locally at Triads in downtown Glens Falls from Ed Beecher who remained a close friend and mentor throughout his life. In the late 80’s, Vern started playing out with local bands, most notably, Dirt Cheap. He has also had many other side projects in conjunction to playing out with his band. Some which include but are not limited to, working with Artimus Pyle (original drummer to Lynyrd Skynyrd), and Ed King (original guitarist for Lynyrd Skynyrd). He has also warmed up for Marshall Tucker, Molly Hatchet, as well as many others. You can catch him playing out locally when he isn’t teaching. Vern really enjoys working with beginner students to show them that you can achieve your dreams and aspirations by concentration, practice, and most importantly to always have fun!
Chris has been passionately playing guitar since he was 15, building a rich and varied career as a multi-genre instrumentalist, singer & songwriter. Over the years, he’s lent his talents to several bands, exploring everything from rock and country to indie, while also carving out a compelling solo path with releases on platforms such as Bandcamp and Spotify. His journey reflects a restless creativity – drifting coast to coast, blending styles and consistently delivering heartfelt, genre-hopping music that feels both personal and expansive. When Chris isn’t teaching, he is out playing at many local establishments as a solo artist.
“If you want to play a superstrat, don’t take acoustic guitar lessons.”
Tim’s own quote defines his approach: to develop a clear, modern command of the electric guitar. He is backed by Berklee guitar training, years of studio time, as well as performance in NYC. Tim helps players view the entire fretboard as a single, unified system rather than a collection of isolated positions. This approach departs from traditional first-position playing and focuses on core musical and technical ideas that build fluidity, mobility, and expressive control across the neck. The result is a practical, performance-ready perspective that helps the player participate with clarity in real musical contexts.
